Gluten-Free Yoplait Yogurt

I was impressed to see my friends bluberry yogurt had “gluten-free” on the back of the container, though not big enough to get a clear picture for the blog. Still, this is a cool discovery! I wonder how many of their flavors are GF. Blueberry? Check.photo2

All of the yogurt at the natural food store I shop at is gluten free. Yogurt shouldn’t really have a need to be labelled gluten free, since it should only contain milk products and fruit, really. Look into Mountain High, Brown Cow, or Nancy’s. You’ll be surprised at how short the ingredient list is. Sounds to me like Yoplait is just finally taking out something that shouldn’t have even beein in there in the first place.

I believe all the flavors of Yoplait yogurt are gluten free. In the last year, they added gluten free to the container, but it was gluten free before that. Stoneyfield farm is certified gluten free – it is a very tiny logo that is easy to miss. It is nice to see more products being labeled gluten free!

Hi gaile, I agree that yogurt shouldn’t “need” to be labeled gluten-free, but I am glad that it is! With all of the funky stuff added to our food it is nice to have a company let you know! I buy most of my groceries at regular ol’ stores to save money, so betweet Yoplait and, I don’t know, Dannon, I like to see that Yoplait has the GF label 🙂

Maryland Celiac, good to know! Thanks!
